When your wedding takes place in a historic music venue like the Majestic Theatre in Madison, Wisconsin, it’s only fitting that the day is filled with harmony, joy, and a whole lot of heart. From Jewish wedding traditions and an emotional live performance (from the bride herself) to custom earplug favors (yes, you read that right!), Lindsey and Jon’s wedding was as meaningful as it was fun.
From a 3-Hour Date to Forever

Lindsey and Jon’s story began with what was supposed to be a casual date that turned into an entire weekend. By the end of it, Jon knew Lindsey was the one—but kept that little detail to himself (for the moment). Fast forward to a fall weekend in Door County, where Jon proposed at the scenic Eagle Overlook, sealing the start of their next chapter.
A Music-Themed Wedding at The Majestic Theatre
Their wedding venue? The iconic Majestic Theatre—a historic downtown Madison music venue with 1920s charm, a stunning golden proscenium arch, and a view of the Capitol just outside. It was the perfect setting for Lindsey and Jon to say “I do.”

Lindsey and Jon truly made the Majestic their own:
🎭 A bubble-filled send-off outside the marquee
🎤 A heartfelt live song performance by the bride
🎧 Custom wedding earplugs as favors—because love should be loud, but safely!
Their wedding blended meaningful moments with playful details, all within a space that’s as full of personality as they are.
A Ceremony Full of Jewish Traditions
With about 100 of their closest friends and family present, Lindsey and Jon’s Jewish and contemporary wedding ceremony honored tradition while reflecting their personalities.
✍️ Before their ceremony they began by signing the ketubah, a beautiful commitment in front of loved ones.
💍 Their parents and the wedding party participated in a warming of the rings, offering blessings and intentions for the couple.
💔 And of course, the breaking of the glass closed the ceremony with cheers of “Mazel Tov!” filling the theatre.
One of the most emotional moments of the day? Lindsey singing a special song during the ceremony, bringing nearly everyone—including me—close to tears. It was one of those rare, genuine, unforgettable wedding moments.
Downtown Madison Wedding Portraits

After the ceremony, we had a short amount of time to explore some of Madison’s most iconic photo locations.
