A Madison Engagement Session Full of Significance

We started our session at the Wisconsin State Capitol, an iconic Madison landmark. With its grand architecture and sweeping staircases, it set the stage for a classic and elegant start to their engagement photos.

Next, we wandered across the UW–Madison Campus, ending up at the Memorial Union Terrace, one of the most scenic spots on the lakeshore. The terrace offered golden light, reflections on the water, and plenty of room for natural, playful moments. Autumn and Michael’s energy was relaxed, loving, and full of laughter throughout the session.

We wrapped up their session at the UW–Madison Arboretum, where the rich greenery and natural trails added a serene, intimate vibe to their portraits. From campus landmarks to quiet woodland paths, the locations reflected places that are near and dear to their hearts.

Meaningful Details & Cultural Celebration

Autumn and Michael put so much thought into their engagement session wardrobe, sewing a matching ribbon skirt and shirt to celebrate their connection and Indigenous heritage. The care they put into this detail added so much depth and personal meaning to their images.

Looking ahead, they are planning a beautiful Indigenous-inspired wedding ceremony this September, including a significant Blanketing ceremony at the Woodland Bowl in Wisconsin. It’s clear their wedding will honor tradition, community, and the unique love they share.
