How long will it be to see the proofs? 

If a photographer says six weeks, ask to see a wedding they shot six weeks ago. Don’t get caught with someone who over-promises and under-delivers! My couples see their wedding pictures in just 3-4 weeks, sometimes even sooner.

How long does it take to get the album? 

After your wedding we set up a time a meeting to go over your album design and images you want on the pages. Most of my couples have an album design within weeks of their wedding. We’ll review the design together and make changes in real time until it’s absolutely perfect. Typically, my couples have their wedding album in their hands 3-6 months after their wedding.

Do they have a team of people behind them?
Too often, photographers get overwhelmed with work and end up delivering products late or failing to reply to your calls because they're juggling everything themselves. Having a team ensures that your photographer can focus on capturing every moment on your wedding day while other team members handle logistics. After the wedding, the team collaborates on editing and album creation, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional quality.

Are they a boutique studio?
Your wedding is unique and important, and you want a photographer who shares that perspective, not one who treats you as just another couple among a hundred others they photograph each year. Choosing a boutique-style photographer, who shoots fewer than 30 weddings a year, ensures you receive personalized attention and care every step of the way. Your photographs will reflect your unique personality as a couple, rather than a cookie-cutter style used for every wedding.


Do you like your photographer?
Consider whether you'll enjoy working with your photographer over the next year or two, as you'll be spending a lot of time together. Your photographer is one of the wedding vendors you'll have the most contact with before, during, and after your wedding, so ensure they have a knowledgeable, authoritative demeanor (for group photo organization!) combined with a calm and pleasant personality that you'll appreciate having around.
